ReadyToShip / profile notes put new bookings stopping around 11 January 2026. ABC News covered the collapse later that month.

Return under new ownership (sourced): In July 2026 press around the Online Retailer Conference, McKenna Worldwide Services (MD Andrew McKenna) acquired the Sendle brand, trademarks, and domain names from the liquidators — not Sendle Pty Ltd itself and not its debts (SmartCompany; Business News Australia; Startup Daily). Press said the service was expected to be up and running by September 2026; the new-look Sendle was described as operating alongside Quantium Solutions (customer-facing Sendle / Quantium for global deliveries — attribute to press). Pricing, coverage, and carrier partnerships were not yet confirmed in that coverage.

At time of writing (21 Sep 2026): treat the September relaunch as a press target, not proof Sendle is fully live for AU Shopify bookings again — verify live status at publish. Until confirmed, treat Sendle as offline for new bookings, not permanently dead. Liquidation context: AU bookings ceased ~Jan 2026; McGrathNicol liquidation ~Feb 2026 (press).

This is not a "Sendle vs Pack" live compare — Sendle isn't a confirmed live AU booking path in this draft. It's a map of verified replacement paths while AU bookings remain offline / unconfirmed (still useful during any McKenna brand relaunch), with App Store ratings and published prices as of 21 Sep 2026. No invented "X% of Sendle merchants chose Y." No official crown.

What broke

If your checkout or fulfilment depended on Sendle via Shopify Shipping or a third-party "Works with Sendle" app:

New AU bookings stopped (~11–12 Jan 2026 window per press / partner notes).
Shopify's help docs tell you to remove Sendle shipping rates.
You need another label path: native MyPost, an AusPost specialist app, or a multi-carrier platform.

Some competitor listings still show Sendle under Works with. Assume stale until you prove live bookings. Mid-September 2026 SIGNAL checks still did not confirm a live AU relaunch (Sendle site "under construction" / pre-sign-up posture — bookings not confirmed). McKenna's July 2026 brand acquisition and September 2026 relaunch target do not automatically mean Works-with tiles are live today — confirm at publish.

Path A — Native MyPost Business

Best when: You're happy with Australia Post for most parcels and want the lowest software cost.

Limits to know: Native MyPost is a feature floor, not a multi-carrier rate shop. eParcel / StarTrack / non-AusPost couriers usually mean a paid app or external account.
