Strengths

Nwosu is an interesting prospect. He is a very good athlete with the burst to come off the edge and win with speed. He can fit in multiple looks, with his hand in the dirt as a DE in a 4-3, or with a 2 foot stance as an OLB in a 3-4. He is rather raw, so the absolute highest ceiling he can reach might not even exist yet. The sky is the limit, with this one.

Weaknesses

How much does he love football? This will be very clear rather early in his career I believe. He actually redeveloped a love for the game of football very recently he says. But he has walked away from the game on multiple occasions dating back even to High school. He is actually on the shorter side and could get man handled if he can not learn to disengaged more consistently. Needs to improve his technique and his motor as an edge rusher. Can rush with speed, but will lose a lot of match ups to stronger tackles.

How He Fits

I believe Clay Mathews had a very similar path to football as Nwosu did. They both went to USC and shined late in there careers. Could Clay take Nwosu under his wing and help him develop into a solid starter in the Pros? The Packers could use the extra bodies rushing the passer and on special teams. With all the holes on the Offensive Line and Defensive Back field Edge rushers might not be addressed until around when Nwosu is projected to come of the board.

Projection

I can see the Packers taking a flier on this guy in the 3rd or 4th round. Maybe  even earlier if the Packers go Edge in round 1 or 2.
