Ok so we’re not great…for now. Maybe this team needs this offensive slump to sharpen their craft for any scenario in the playoffs. Whether you’re part of the run the ball crew or the wide receivers aren’t worthy of playing time, the Packers offense has to give Aaron Jones the ball in any way possible. Use him as a route runner if anything just to decoy.

Losing three in a row against teams we expected to beat is hard to swallow although when the LaFleur offense is operating through Jones, we tend to win games regardless of the opponent. Sammy Watkins seems to be in line for extended work with Lazard expected to miss the primetime matchup. He’s still recovering from injury along with questionable to play, Christian Watson.

If Green Bay is to pull the upset over a Super Bowl Contender, they can’t repeat all the drops and mistakes. Buffalo is too polished of a team to give many openings. Rodgers is playing better than ever according to Aaron Rodgers. Feels like communication and plan are not cohesive between the leaders of the Packers offense.

Meanwhile on the opposite side, Josh Allen appears to be on a collision course for future MVPs. With sure handed superstar Stefon Diggs, he’s in good hands. Outside of Josh Allen’s favorite target is a host of talent to take pressure away. Gabe Davis is a burner with height that will give any defense back fits in isolation. Tight End Dawson Knox tends to show up on key downs when teams hedge their focus towards Diggs.

So essentially Green Bay needs everything to go right to not get muddled Sunday Night. Which for Aaron Rodgers he has shown the uncanny ability to win when everyone doubts him, whatever it takes to get the reigning MVP back in rhythm.

Outlook

Rodgers is a wizard in primetime but a frustrating offense going against juggernaut of the AFC is not a good recipe. Hopefully young guys like Doubs and Toure use their opportunities with Lazard out to make an impact. Green Bay’s defense has received unnecessary slander for being forced on the field far too often after big stops only for the offense to go 3 and out. They’re gassed by 4th Quarter and all rushing ability is squandered.

The homer in me wants to say there’s a good chance Green Bay beats a Buffalo team that is top 10 fantasy defense against each position group including kickers. Hard to imagine we get it right this week. If they can hang Sunday Night then there’s hope for this team yet.
