As an owner of a football team, it’s wonderful to see Aaron Rodgers take an interest in diversifying his portfolio. While we’re on the the topic of owners, it’s time to welcome class act Dan Snyder and the Washington Football Team to Titletown for Sundays noon game. Is Washington’s defense in a slump or are they actually a dumpster fire like their entire organization? Their defense was scary good last season and loaded with talent with depth and experience. For some reason, they haven’t put it together and we’ll be happy to see a dismal performance from the Football Team.
Green Bay has to stay focused on Washington and avoid the anticipation of Thursday’s matchup with the currently undefeated Arizona Cardinals. Green Bay does have the benefit of an early slate game at home. As for Sunday, Green Bay is given a chance to build on their NFC North lead with Chicago taking on Tampa Bay, Minnesota getting their bye and Detroit trying really hard wherever they are.
Aaron Rodgers/Davante Adams
Washington is dead last in points allowed to the Quarterback position. Factor in Rodgers throws to an unstoppable force, Davante Adams, at a high volume. The rest of the receivers, backs and tight ends have made the most of their opportunities showing progression in the offense. With a productive running game and Aaron Rodgers at the helm, Davante Adams faces a secondary allowing the 2nd most points to WRs. Expect these two to connect often on Sunday. As is tradition.
Rodgers chucks the ball for 315 yards and 3 TDs
Davante hauls in 10 catches for 130 yards and a score
Aaron Rodgers over/under props: 265.5 yards 2.5 TDs 6.5 rushing yards
Davante Adams over/under props 7.5 catches 97.5 yards
On volume alone, he will be relevant although the athletes on the Washington defense might be able to hold the edge preventing breakout runs. Washington has not allowed a 100 rusher yet this season and unless the Packers are ahead multiple scores early it looks like Aaron Jones will have to be involved in the passing game to boost his production. In the last 4 weeks, the Washington defense has averaged 7+ catches per game by RBs.
Aaron Jones scampers for 55 yards and a score with 5 catches for 40 yards.
Aaron Jones over/under props: 66.5 rushing yards 3.5 catches 23.5 receiving yards
Bobby has been silent and the weeks have been waiting for a moment like this when his expectations are back to mere chatter. Bobby lord of the touchdowns will return to the endzone this Sunday. Granted Washington has only allowed 1 TD to TEs, they have allowed a minimum of 40 yards to the position every game. With Tonyans receptions and yardage props set low he’s due to breakout over them.
Bobby snags 4 catches for 65 yards and a signature TD
Bobby’s over/under props: 2.5 catches 19.5 receiving yards.
Green Bay shouldn’t struggle to move the ball against Washington although a bad offensive line day could let Chase Young and the rest of the Football Team feast. Green Bay has the advantage of quality coaching, more consistent offense, elite playmakers at all 3 levels of the offense and a defense playing without some of its top talent.
Green Bay wins easily 27-16
