Geronimo Allison’s time in Green Bay has come to a close. On Sunday, the former Packer receiver signed a deal with the Detroit Lions, per NFL Network.

During his time in Green Bay, Allison caught 89 passes for 1,045 yards and 6 touchdowns over the course of 4 years.

Allison served the Packers well, but after the signing of Devin Funchess, Allison leaving Green Bay seemed inevitable. Geronimo wasn’t a standout player, but he always seemed to do his job when called on.

In 2019, Allison appeared in every game but finished the season with a mere 287 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns.

Even with the Funchess signing, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Packers go after another receiver in the draft. This is a position that still has some question marks surrounding it at this point in the offseason. But, as we all know, it’s a long journey leading up to the start of the season.
